Dome Productions is proud to have provided one-stop-shopping technical services including mobile and uplink facilities, and crewing for the United World Wrestling's Wrestling World Cup held in Los Angeles at the Forum on April 11th and 12th. The event was produced by Swiss Production company Hit The Roof with transmission provided by Eurovision.
The Wrestling World Cup features 8 of the world's top freestyle wrestling nations with perennial powerhouses USA, Russia and Iran being top of the class. Saturday featured preliminary matches while the medal rounds went on Sunday.
Dome Atlantic and our Uplink tractor Stargazer were on hand to produce and transmit the world feed as well as a unilateral production for Iran. The event featured SSMO camera and Jib cameras.
The LA event is a precursor to the much larger Wrestling World Championships which will take place in Las Vegas in September. Dome will be on hand then as well to provide expanded facilities and services. The Las Vegas event will feature up to 80 countries with wrestlers vying for invitations to the Rio Olympics in 2016.
