It might not feel like it outside, but Spring Training is over and the Toronto Blue Jays are back for another season. Friday, April 8 marks the 2016 home opener at the Rogers Centre, and Dome Productions is bringing you all the action in stunning 4K resolution.
This is the first time the Jays will be seen in ultra-sharp 4K, all thanks to Dome’s crack engineering team and a revamped mobile: Dome Trillium.
Trillium represents the transition from side-by-side 4K broadcasts to a single truck solution.
Dome has been at the forefront of the 4K revolution in North America. Over the winter, Dome made it possible for its broadcast partners to air the first 4K NBA game, NHL game, and awards show to be produced on this continent.
Trillium has been refitted with Sony HDC-4300 cameras that can function in both 4K and HD formats. The truck will roll with a revamped B unit that hosts the 4k core equipment that will enable the 4K broadcast when needed.
We’re focused on originating as much in 4K as possible, and look forward to adding more
In the meantime, baseball fans will be able to see every run scored or out tagged clearer than ever before. Once again, #DomeIsThere.
